Larson Boat Group’s Striper brand is known for rugged practicality. Proof? Top ratings from survey respondents familiar with the brand in speed, range and safety — rock-solid attributes in a line that respects boaters’ budgets.

People who own or otherwise know Stripers respect their one-piece Fibercore hand-laid composite stringer systems. Hand-secured and bonded to the hull, they create a solid boat that produces less vibration. Keel and chines boast overlapping hand‑laid fiberglass layers, too. Open space between the sole and hull? Not anymore: Closed‑cell foam fills those voids, adding flotation and rigidity.

Striper sees beyond the sale to the fishing life: Rigging chases within the hull make it easier to install or update electronics and other gear. The full-width composite transom is not only resistant to deterioration, it welcomes aftermarket equipment.

Attention to both design and construction techniques gives way to boats with deep stems and sharp deadrise to soften the ride, as well as wide bows to deflect spray and keep occupants dry. What water does come aboard returns swiftly to the sea via self-bailing decks.

Nobody minds a hard day of fishing — if it’s satisfyingly hard. That’s what a Striper’s made for.

270 CC

Anglers loved Striper’s 220 CC center console from the series that was introduced in 2012. Now they’ve got more to love: the bigger and better 270 CC, the largest center console available in the Striper fleet.

It’s not just longer: The full 9-foot beam is a sea tamer, and the 188-gallon tank is a trip stretcher. The V-Trac hull was designed to provide maximum steering control, giving stable, steady turns and no porpoising. And its stability is tops for trolling as well as running.

Within the open floor plan are port and starboard 34-gallon fish boxes. Aft cockpit corners contain 12-gallon aerated livewells.

Flanking the console are large in-floor storage compartments, and within one is a head area with 73 inches of room. At the console, a pair of seats drop down from the two-person leaning post. A standard fiberglass T-top sports rocket launchers, spreader lights and flat spots for optional outriggers. Captain, crew and console are protected by a tempered-glass windshield.

The transom wall features a foldaway bench. Optional fold-down bench seats port and starboard create fish-fighting thigh pads when folded up.

Pick your power (standard rigging is a pair) from five brands, up to 500 hp total. Then pick up some bait — and family and friends — and get fishing.
